Yele Alora

Yele Alora is a city located on one side of the Deadway Passage, which is situated on the continent of Imor. The only constant thing about Yele Alora is that the weather will change. There is a saying, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute.”
  The day can start as a beautiful, sunny, bright day, but by afternoon, there is a foot of snow. It is not just the change of weather that is the problem in Yele Alora, as there are all types of weather. It can be hot, cold, rainy, windy, and have all kinds of storms. It is possible that the surrounding forest can become dangerous during these storms.
  The elves of Yele Alora have learned how to read the weather and deal with it. It took many years for the elves to figure out how to deal with the weather and the surrounding area. When they first settled in the area, they found their previous way of building in the forest was not a good idea. The first windstorm destroyed many of their homes. Then the winter storms killed several of the elves and drove them from the forest to the mountains. They took shelter in the mountains and started to figure out how to create and use rock and mortar to make their homes and businesses. Many homes and buildings use the mountains as part of the design.
  When asked why the elves stay in such an uninviting area, they answer that they had to. For they were fleeing a war and were only stopped by the Oceanic Peak mountains. They had nowhere else to go, and now, why go anywhere else? The weather keeps them on their toes. They also stay as they, along with kin from their sister city on the other side of the Oceanic Peak mountains, can navigate the mountain range.
