Noc

As the sun sets in many villages on the southeast coast of Odoa, a new group appears. This group is called the nocturnal hybrids. They seem like other hybrids. However, there is one big change: they do most of their things at night. For the most part, these nocturnal hybrids live among the other hybrids but tend to work at night instead. Now thought there is a smaller group that is known as the Noc. This group is slowly growing.
It started when a couple and their friends decided to leave the village they lived in and found a new one. One where the village is quiet during the day and very active at night. These Noc have turned from celebrating the solstice to celebrating the moon. They have two large celebrations, one in the spring and one in the fall. Both celebrate the moon. They also have special events they hold on the first full moon of each month. Also, on the new moon night is a night for family. Their clothing has also changed from subdued colors that most hybrids wear to bright colors. When asked why, the answer given was that they like color. This is the only way that they can see the color during the night. Many of the young Noc tend to visit other nearby villages. Their activities range from just wandering, hanging or partying with friends to criminal activity.
While that group of Noc is growing, there is another not so well not-so-well-looked-upon group, Noc gangs. At this time, there is at least one known gang run by a particularly notorious criminal who uses Noc to commit crimes at night. There is worry among all hybrids that this trend will continue to grow. Especially since there has been an uptick in runaway nocturnal hybrids from what Noc call Solar families. These runaways either create their own group, join the village, or join the gang. There is an effort by the Noc village to reach these youth before they turn to crime.
