Darastric
The ancient form of Draconic, almost incomprehensible by modern speakers. Though it still sees infrequent use in the prayers of the followers of the Founding Dragons pantheon.
Those who learn magic will study Darastric or Draconic to perform the incantations needed to cast spells.
Writing System
The script of Darastric has no fixed writing direction. The characters are traditionally written top-bottom, with their orientation indicating the reading direction of the columns. The writing direction was largely dependent on the writer's preference and could vary when multiple authors collaborated on a project.
It was originally written by the Guardian Dragons, engraving stone, wood, or other hard surfaces with their claws in downward strokes.
