  Libertién is a French-inspired nation located in the heart of the League of Nations known as Bliv Frain. Spanning from coast to coast on the continental shelf, this flourishing republic is known for its rich history, diverse landscapes, and thriving commerce. With a long history of warfare and resilience, Libertién has always stood strong in the face of adversity.  

Geography

  Libertién boasts a diverse landscape that includes forests, lakes, mountains, and vast coastal regions. The nation is divided into three distinct climate zones: the Mediterranean climate in the south, the tropical savannah climate in the central region, and the hot steppe climate in the northeastern region.   Major cities in Libertién include Périppes, Valès, Perpilême, Plaiteaux, Zaan, Vanoît, Boulet, Port du maar, Sescia, Tepe Kasa, Périsonne, Anavala, L'hameçon, Nanluçan, Forêt, Belzieu, Yãsar, Genneçon, Gologne, Pugny, Diveil, Sarlet, Fluve, D'Plaines, and Basingstoke.  

History

  The nation of Libertién was founded over 600 years ago by a group of aristocratic families from the Arabic nation of Kasei. They settled on the continent to take advantage of its abundant resources, establishing the first settlement that would later become the capital, Port Du Maar. The power of the settlers grew rapidly, and their influence spread across the continent, eventually leading to the formation of the many nations that would become Bliv Frain.  

Politics

  As a republic, Libertién values democratic principles and holds regular elections and votes within its governmental bodies. The nation is governed from the capital, Port Du Maar, where the many settlements belonging to the nation follow its lead. The government is composed of representatives from each city, who are elected by the citizens and whose lineage can be traced back to the original leader that founded their respective settlement.  

Commerce

  Libertién's central location within Bliv Frain makes it a hub for trade and commerce. Its extensive coastline and numerous ports facilitate the exchange of goods with neighboring nations, such as the naval powerhouse of Nez-país to the southeast and the former territory of Coinlién to the northeast. The nation's abundant resources have also attracted settlers and traders from all around the world, contributing to its thriving economy.  

Military and Conflicts

  Throughout its history, Libertién has been involved in numerous wars with its neighbors. Despite facing many defeats, the nation has always managed to stand strong and persevere. It has fought against the likes of Zentral, a German-inspired nation to the northwest, and Oglorg, a region to the south filled with monsters and dangerous beasts. As a member of the League of Nations, Libertién now works in cooperation with its allies to maintain peace and stability in the region.  

Culture and Magic

  In this Dungeons and Dragons-inspired world, magic is a vital aspect of life in Libertién. The nation's rich history and diverse landscapes have given rise to various forms of magic, which can be learned through teaching, bestowed by nature, or granted by gods. Magic has also played a role in accelerating Libertién's progression toward the industrial era, reminiscent of 17th-century Europe.

  The largest cities in Libertién include Port Du Maar, Belzieu, and L'hameçon in the south; Fluve in the central region; and Basingstoke in the north. Each city has its own unique history, culture, and attractions that contribute to the nation's overall character.

  Le Marquis de Port Du Maar: The founder of the capital city, Le Marquis was a visionary leader who laid the groundwork for the nation's growth and prosperity.
Lady Eloïse Belzieu: A powerful sorceress who played a critical role in defending Libertién against its enemies during times of war.
Gaspard L'hameçon: A renowned explorer and cartographer who contributed significantly to the nation's understanding of the wider world.
