The enlightment

The world of Aremas is but condensed magic. It is not part of any solar system and does not have a star. But how then do Aremas' inhabitants have light? It is thanks to their ancient god of light. From the creation of Aremas until age 0, this god provided light all time of the day, back then called 'Litus'. Back in the time, darkness didn't exist because this god provided the light needed at all time. Monsters needed to stay in cave because they couldn't go in broad daylight. However, in age 0, the sun itself died. This caused a terrible event called 'the blackening'. All the inhabitants of this world thought they were doomed, that they would never see light again. But that is when Ar'Khos, now called La'Irok, ascended to become a new lightsource. He provides light during 12 hours but during the last 2 hours (Delitus), his power fades, making the light less and less intensive. So after exactly 12 hours of sunlight (Litus), the world falls into darkness for 12 hours (Nolitus), so La'Irok can recuperate energy. After exactly 12 hours of total darkness, one can see the body of the giant dragon in the sky getting energy. During 2 hours (Inlitus), he will focus his forces on providing light. At the end of these two hours, his light is at full power and will stay like that for 8 hours (Fulitus).

How a day in Aremas works
  6 to 8 : increasing light Inlitus
8 to 16 : full light power Fulitus
16 to 18 : decreasing light Delitus
18 to 0 and 0 to 6 : no light Nolitus

6 to 18 (in general) Litus
Type
