Golden Scaled
Golden scaled dragons are dragons with scale looking like they are made out of pure gold.

This condition appears due to a spell put by the ancient sun god. This spell was to give golden scales and amazing powers to any dragons meant for a prophecy. However, the ancient sun god intended this condition to affect only one dragon, his chosen successor. But it has passed in his family, and any member of the royal family that is part of a prophecy will have more or less pronounced golden scales. Until now, only the youngest prince Th'Rarok of Ar'Khos has manifested this condition.
Causes
The origine of this condition is pure divine energy. This energy shows on the scales but also affects the dragon inside.
Symptoms
The main symptom is clear, the golden scales. But symptoms can also be seen deeper inside the affected dragon. The dragon will have since its birth the prophecy he is part in stuck in his head. Moreover, divine powers can be manifested through special occasions while the prophecy is being accomplished.
Affected Groups
The only race that can be affected are pure blooded dragons from the royal family.
History
The first and one of the two only person having this condition is the king of Ar'khos, also known as the current god of light, La'Irok. He was the one the condition was created for, as part of his prophecy to become the new sun (The death of the sun : The prophecy of the golden child).
Cultural Reception
When prince Th'Rarok was born with some of the golden scales that the legends depicted, the whole world was shaken. A prophecy was coming, and since the curse decided it needed to give powers to the main perpetrator of the prophecy, everyone was sure it was an important one. Until now, Th'Rarok doesn't wish to talk about the prophecy stuck in his head, but one day the truth will come out.
