The Logios Empire, in their pursuit of an extraplanar communication and transportation network, accidently tears open a gaping portal to the lower planes, allowing fiends to spill forth onto the Material Plane.

Ultimately, the advances of the demonic hordes was halted thanks to extensive aid to the Logios Empire by that of Antecea, but this would come to the Logians at a steep cost, as they would come to find out in the years to come...
