With the loss of the Harmonic Disrupter and the knowledge that other Fundamental Avatars could be as screwed up as Cataclysm (and a healthy disappointment towards humanity's proclivity to war crimes), Benevolence and Tovenaar set out to create a new weapon that would allow them to protect and shape the world into a better place.

This artifact would become the Oculus Infinium, a magical amulet divided in two, that when put together bestowed great power, and more importantly, awareness to the users. Unfortunately for Tovenaar, when they finally succeeded in creating an enchantment that held together, that awareness allowed Benevolence to see Tovenaar's greatest secret: He had sabotaged the Harmonic Disrupter used in the battle against Cataclysm and captured him within his old ensnaring idol. Indeed, it was Cataclysm's council that granted Tovenaar the insight to develop an enchantment that would allow the Oculus to function.   Naturally, Benevolence did not take well to this revelation...
