Military: War
In the wake of the Neogi invasion, the orcish warriors, who quickly united under the banner of the Ba'shad people, were granted tithes and land on one of the main islands of the Mach'a Mancha island cluster. However, they quickly grew restless and dissatisfied. They felt the Assembly kingdoms owed them a deep debt for saving them from annihilation. And if the kobolds and elves would not pay it back willingly, then they would take it by force.
The orcs launched an invasion fleet from their capitol, Havotar, and once again the Assembly was thrust into an unwinnable conflict. Much like the Neogi, the orcs seemed limitless in numbers. Indeed, it was the nature of orcs that their children matured into full-fledged soldiers at a breakneck clip (and were almost always born in sets of up to 3 or 4). In under a year, the orcs controlled all of Mach'a Mancha and were threatening Hend'óra. Once again, the Assembly found salvation in the arrival of another faction. Independently of the fighting, the dragonborn Palaxi Dominion had found their way to the Isles. Once again, the Assembly offered the promise of land and an full membership within the Assembly for the dragonborn's aid against the orcs. However, even with the impressive military might of the dragonborn, they were only ever able to stalemate the orcs. And even then, it became clear it would slowly ebb into defeat if left unchecked. Indeed, the orcs were perfectly happy to delpoy depraved, cruel tactics to wreak havoc on their adversaries. Ultimately, the conflict was resolved by the deployment of the Still Curse; a work of magic developed by the Karrera but cast by the Palaxi. Essentially, it inflicted every orc in the Talhani Isles with a curse of infertility, keyed in such a way that the orcs could reproduce just enough to keep the species alive (provided they stopped throwing away their lives in all-out war), but not enough to replenish their fighting numbers. Faced with the ultimatum fo surrender or extinction, the orcs very, very reluctantly chose surrender.
