Personal history

Bahamut was born to the platinum dragons Lendys and Tamara in the third generation from Asgorath, alongside his sister, Tiamat. During the Dawn War, Bahamut helped to create the dragonborn race, therefore becoming their patron. Bahamut served as a lieutenant of Asgorath for much of the Dawn War, creating alliances with other deities, including Avandra, Helm, and Ioun. Everything changed when Lendys and Tamara were viciously slain by none other that Tiamat, putting the already estranged siblings on opposite sides of the conflict, and changed again when Asgorath fell to the Devourer- for when Asgorath died, a portion of his power fell to Bahamut. With this power and the aid of the other gods, Bahamut was able to banish the injured Devourer back to the Abyss. After the Dawn War, Bahamut became the right hand and guardian of Pelor, the god of the sun, and helped the dragonborn establish a civilization on an island that would later be named Lyria, after the first Primus of the legions who fell during the War. Later, he helped Ioun and Avandra create the Order of the Grey Mages to safeguard powerful magical artifacts from falling into the wrong hands.
