Aetrayas Mahadeva

Born in Steelgate, Aetrayas was raised with a strong sense of duty and a heavy lean towards a martial tradition. Passed down to him, from his father before him, he received a splendid halberd, said to be of dwarven make. When his father passed in the turmoil of the Shadowfall, he decided he wanted to see what he died for. He spend nearly twenty years this way. That was until he met Jill.   Aetrayas had met quite the name for himself when he arrived in City of Ancebridge. Having gone drinking with his companions, himself not partaking too vigorously, he was immediately smitten by one of the other patrons, drinking with her friends. She was a Watch Captain of the Meplaes Steelgate Army born in Vranchester. Aetrayas was struck by her personality as much as her looks and she was rather taken by his stories.   That would be the last Aetrayas would see of his companions for some time, deciding to settle down in City of Ancebridge. This was at 106 PD.   Two years later, they'd have their first child, Ra'ven. Aetrayas, like his father before him, taught him of the values by which he lived his life. Among those values was the proper use of close range arms.   In this time he also reconnected with what remained of his family. His older brother, Ullias Mahadeva, was still there, now deeply involved with Steelgate Guns & Shells Manufacturing. Ullias had lost a leg while fighting at the Fortress City of Irongate and retired after having attained the rank of Sergeant. They hit it off well and Aetrayas made Ullias the godfather of Ra'ven.   When Ra'ven reached age of 12 and shortly before the birth of his second child, Zi'li Mahadeva, he got regrettable news and an old duty returned. He took Ra'ven apart and reaffirmed him the lesson he'd imparted on him. He then handed Ra'ven his halberd, still as pristine as the day he received it, and told him to seek out his uncle for further training.   Then he left and has not been seen since.
