Naku'lan Island: Breath of the Green Mother

This is the island of the T'Kal people; they are scattered across 5 islands clustered together. Its name refers to the island's misty jungles and living mountains, seen as the lungs of the world. Covered in subtropical and tropical rainforest, mangrove coasts, hidden rivers, and forgotten temple complexes.    Naku'lan is considered sacred and self-contained, a place where the balance between life, and death, and ancestral memory is maintained without outside interference.   These islands had many resources for a small population of island tribesmen, but not for a technological society in need of metals, silicon, and rare earth metals. Flora and fauna is bountiful, the earth is fertile, and water is plentiful. The islands were highly volcanic, but many are dormant now.   They were safe from the Atlantean scientists here because they were small and insignificant, especially since there were few useful natural resources for them.
