Utility
The Lycan-verter's main purpose is to prevent the transformation of a Lycanthrope to their hybrid formation. Though that's its main purpose its secondary function is that is that it can track any individual thats its been input into.
Social Impact
The Lycan-verter has been considered a masterpiece by the Hunter community. It has enhanced the ability of Hunters to gather more information without putting themselves at risk. They also have attempted to jury rig the Lycan-verter to work on other creatures to prevent other creatures from utilizing their powers. There have been some individuals that have said that the use of the Lycan-verter could negatively impact the hunting ability of up and coming Hunters. Though it's also seen as a stepping stone for Hunters that wouldn't take the leap due to the probability of death.
To the Lycanthrope community it has been seen as an overstep from humans. When a Lycanthropes are seen in the community with a Lycan-verter is instantly excommunicated to prevent the tracking of the pack. The lycanrthrope can attempt to remove the Lycan-verter, but no verifiable report of them successfully removing the Lycan-verter has been discovered.
