Jasira, Sorin and Bellamy are introducted into the life of the Royal Prison in Sereia. They meet Shio, the prison historian in the orientation round, who tells them about the War of Three Kings. Jasira realises that Alarik is the boy that was in the cell next to them. Alarik is still in self-isolation.
