Voulisi

Pale of skin and pale of hair, Voulisi is the stern and powerful protector goddess of the Elven Automaths. She stepped out of the Gossamer Palace and stood by Thavma's side as they led the newly Awakened to see the creatures and vegetation of The Cradle, defending the hapless Elves from all manner of cruel foes with bow and sword.   The first Awakened to view Voulisi noted that she averted her eyes from the bright sun, and cloaked herself in shadow so that she might walk freely. Though lithe like the other Elves, her frame spoke of a powerful, sinewy musculature honed over an infinite lifetime of protecting her peers. The Dark Elves are said to be created in her image.   Her aversion to the Sun makes her a favorite of Elves wandering under the stars and Moons, and she is closely associated with Phanos, the larger moon, for it provides just enough light to see one's way at night. Her love for Thavma was also obvious to those who saw them together, so is associated with moonlit trysts. Most importantly, perhaps, is her role as protector of Elven society, and taking to the bow when darkness gives them favor is the favored method of battle of Elves. Indeed, most Elves agree that their ability to see well in the dark and to hold a sleepless vigil at night are the gifts of Voulisi. As a protector, she is also a dealer of death, and so the most versed in the process of death among the Elven Automaths, and she is known to shepherd dead Elves to the afterlife.   Though worship of Voulisi is widespread among Elves, it is less common among non-Elven people, except as a goddess of moonlit lovers. Priests and clerics of Voulisi practice the domains of Twilight, War, and the Grave.
