Fastigium

Fastigium is the end goal of a lifelong process of self-actualization sought after by all citizens of The Verum Imperium. It involves the rejection of the Automaths as gods, the acceptance of the self as their equal, and ultimately the right of the self to the same status as those Automaths who deluded the Awakened.
The goal in life is to serve the Imperium's interest: which is, primarily, to usurp the Automaths in vengeance for their deception, and to take their place as rulers of Anuwai. That being a distant goal, in a mortal lifetime, one can only hope to assist in furthering that goal, and, hopefully, to achieve such a high level of self-actualization that, upon death, the soul can avoid the deceitful realms of Meroskias and Elysium to instead forge a personal paradise realm of one's own design, as it is rumored that the most powerful of the Automaths are able to do this.
Fastigium encourages learning of all worldly things, including every sort of magic, but stalwartly rejects the worship of any divine figures, especially the deceitful Automaths. Resurrection magic, typically the domain of faithful magic users like clerics, is also strictly forbidden, as it would be the greatest insult to pull a soul back to Yorth after it had achieved Fastigium and built its own paradise realm.
