Ergasia

On the First Day, while the Dwarven Automath Koino was building homes for the dwarves, his counterpart, Ergasia, was using her powerful muscles to stoke the fires of creation, forging the dwarven people in the kilns of the Crystal Castle, and this bringing them to life.   Devout of Ergasia claim that she was solely responsible for forging the dwarven people, and is therefore to be regarded as their true creator, which is contradictory to the account given by followers of Koino, who claim that she merely tempered them in her forges after Koino did the real work of making them. This friendly theological debate rages in taverns throughout The Union.   Ergasia is said to have long, golden hair formed into thick braids, and skin the color of ivory with a warm dash of color brought on by the heat of her forges. Her rippling musculature allows her to pump the bellows of life and wield the mighty Geværhane, the Hammer of Creation.   While Koino showed the dwarves how to build, Ergasia showed them that they were the true masters of the forge, able to smelt metal from the very bones of Yorth to make whatever tools they needed to accomplish their goals. Even Koino's building could not be accomplished without the tools wrought by the furnaces of Ergasia. Indeed, even when met with hostility from the savage creatures of Yorth, it was Ergasia's forges that supplied the axe that was wielded so capably in Pali's hands.   Worship of Ergasia is common to dwarves throughout the Union. Priests and clerics of Ergasia practice the domains of the Forge, the Tempest created by the sparks of Geværhane, and Life, which she imbued all dwarves with.
