Brighton
Founded in 3367 CE, Brighton is a small fishing village located along the coast of the Skull Isles. The inhabitants are extremely guarded around outsiders, and with good reason. The original founders of the village were dark magic users looking for a place to practice their arts without fear of persecution, and the inhabitants follow these same traditions today.

The Gallows - a symbol of the town's harsh system of laws and justice
The Night School - where the children are taught the village's ancient ways, so named because it is only conducted in the evening away from the eyes of outsiders

The Trash Hole - a sink hole outside of town that is frequently used for disposing of those unwilling to submit to the village's traditions. Said to be the home of some terrible monster.

Guilds and Factions
The main factions in the village are the Cult of Dagon and The Demonologists. However, a burgeoning undeground Church of Ishtalar is also beginning to grow in numbers.
History
3591 CE - Not long ago the town faced a crisis when a boatload of refugees from Nol crashed on their shore. Though the initial consensus of the elders was that the outsiders must be silenced and/or prevented from leaving, Headmistress Lii and Ajax Darkshore convinced Barrett Blackbone to side with them in provding boats to the refugees. Despite the fact that it was probably Barrett who caused the crash in first place in order to gain sacrifices or converts by intentionally not lighting the Lighthouse lamp, the tiefling saw an opportunity in the conflict to discredit Harlowe Greaves. Though ultimately Greaves conceded to allowing the refugees to depart, the conflict created a rift in the leadership of the Cult of Dagon which Barrett hopes to exploit in the future.
Tourism
Notable Personages:
Harlowe Greaves -an elder statesman of the town and spirtual leader of Brighton's Cult of Dagon. Himself a deep one hybrid, Harlowe fears that the worship of Dagon will be supplanted by the faction of demonologists in the community.
Barrett Blackbone - a tiefling elder who resides in the Lighthouse. Barrett has led the faction which wishes to return the primary religion of Brighton to demonology. Some say it is because he wishes to gain favor with his own daemon father.

Lii - Headmistress of the Night School, reports to the town's spiritual leader Harlow Greaves, and thus the school's teachings reflect the doctrines of the Cult of Dagon
Simon Thord - bartender at the Ragged Rock Brewery. Informant for Harlowe Greaves.

Has begun an underground church to convert the citizens of Brighton. Barry (Barrett) is actually named for his father's friend, Barrett Blackbone, though the two are not related.
