Technology is the culmination of thousands of years of hard work, development, and progress. From modern home conveniences to powering cities, classic firearms to weapons of mass destruction. Mystech has put the power of the divine in the hands of mortals. The power to raise nations or raze cities. The power to equal Mages and level the field between man and monster. Modern cybernetics can allow a cripple to work without trouble. Modern weapons can allow a peasant to kill a dragon if they are clever. Modern vehicles can carry armies across the globe in a matter of days if the nation has the means. If you have the technology, you could topple gods.

Yeah, mystech is nice. I like my computers and instant meals. It's because of mystech I'm even considered a Mage. But a criminal can use cybernetics to steal or kill. A peasant can kill a king easier than a dragon, and crumble a kingdom. A king can give a simple command and instantly butcher thousands or millions. A single wrong rune or crossed wire can turn a hive-city power generator into an accidental atomic bomb. Tech is just as much a curse as a blessing, sometimes more so.
