Skyharbour
A harbour city in the Damirian Frontier
The city of Skyharbour is a large settlement located in the southeastern part of the Kingdom of Vola . It is known primarily as a trade centre for the kingdom, and a home base for many airships that travel throughout the Damirian Frontier.
Demographics
The city of Skyharbour is predominantly Human and half-elven, with other races making up only a small percentage.
Government
The city is governed by a council, which is led by the Mayor of Skyharbour. The Mayor has a royal representative, who represents the city in the royal court in Seriana
Defences
As a trade centre, Skyharbour is heavily protected by the Alliance Navy, as well as martial forces within the city. The city itself has defensive walls with harpoon and cannon mounts to deter would-be invaders.
Infrastructure
As a harbour town, most major infrastructure is geared to shipbuilding and entertainment for itinerant travelers - theaters, baths, curios and brothels swarm the city's harbour end.

Skyharbour is home to a Shipwright, Acting, Goldsmith, Engineering, and Fishing guild. Skybound that frequent the place find easy work thanks to information brokers like Annabelle Pilon and the Fair Winds Inn .
Architecture
Most buildings in Skyharbour are built out of stone to withstand the winds cities on the edge of floating islands often face. Buildings above two stories are usually reinforced to protect them further.
Geography
The city's eastern border lies on the edge of land, with its west running alongside (and across) the Faleon river. Skyharbour is mostly flat, or has been flattened; however most land to the west and northwest still follows the natural rise of the land following the river back up to Lake Phantur.
Natural Resources
Nearby forests, a very substantial quarry, and the eternally flowing Faleon help feed Skyharbour's natural resources. Some farms still exist outside the city's borders that help supply the port with food surpluses, but food and other necessities come to it courtesy of the other cities of Vola thanks to airship trade.
