Beartholomew B. Bearington III, Esquire - known best as B3 - is a bear, enchanted by a circlet to appear as a highly charismatic human noble. B3's motivations are vague and besides collecting the odd magical item, he follows the crew of the Punyal where they travel, usually joining them on their travels.
Annabelle Pilon knows B3 fairly well, and has developed a concoction that slowly removes the effects of the enchantment, and has offered it to the Punyal's crew so they are aware of B3's appearance.
B3 has shown a penchant for alcohol, and when invited to a pub can be found at the bar instead of the table, ordering drinks.
After foiling a massive conspiracy involving the Isolationist faction in Sapantaha, B3 finally retired, returning to the idyllic life of a bear, albeit with some human conceits.

Alina and Trym originally started out at odds, as she didn't know his true nature. Later, as their adventures progressed, Alina started to see B3's true form, but at that point she didn't care, as she had found a good drinking buddy after Morg's absence.
