Joresce Tau
High Councelor of the Ancient Ways Joresce Tau (a.k.a. The Promise)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
A fit, slim young adult in good physical condition. She exercises regularly and even though her day-to-day life doesn't require it or make any use of it, she is quite agile.
Facial Features
Joresce is considered by many to have "a pretty face", or to be "beautiful". Her mysterious yet piercing eyes can intimidate even the most confident people. Her distinct eyebrows are always kept in perfect shape.
Identifying Characteristics
Apparel & Accessories
When appearing publicly she always wears cosmetics, including her signiature red lipstick and a subtle yet powerful perfume that contains pheromones that makes it easier to convince other people of her perspectives. Often she wears earrings and finger claws on the fingers of the left hand. Her clothing of choice consists of traditional formal Ancient Ways attire, which she wears not only during office hours but generally also in her private life.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Joresce's greatest desire is to rise to the rank of Holy Protector, so she will be able to cleanse The Theocracy of The Wayward. While she has to tolerate their presence for the time being, she desires a state that completely and strictly adheres to The Ancient Ways. In order to reach this goal she is willing to apply foul play wherever this can be done in a subtle way that doesn't arouse suspicion.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Being on the High Council puts Tau in direct contact with Anuhad ac Danual III, the current Holy Protector of the Ancient Ways. She is on good terms with him, but she's secretly sabotaging him in subtle ways whenever possible as to increase her chances of removing him from power and gaining the coveted title for herself. These acts of sabotage are purely political and nothing personal.
In addition to being in contact with the most important person in the the Ancient Ways she herself is part of the High Council, which makes her a colleague of Aktanari xe Monitcz, her former mentor. She used to serve under xe Monitcz in his Lower Council and it is during this time that he picked up on Tau's talent and potential and decided to personally become her mentor and help her grow towards a role with more responsibilities. With Tau having been xe Monitcz's pupil they have a long history together and are able to recognize each other's modus operandi. They are on neutral standing, not particularly liking but also not disliking each other on a personal level. They do however form an effective team together when it comes to Council matters, not in the least due to their close working relationship in the past.
Teneron Oubixian, the third member of the High Council, is another story. While Joresce acts normal around shehm, she does actually intensely hate Teneron and wants shehm to be removed from power. Teneron's ideals to leave the teachings of the Ancient Ways more open to interpretation are in strong conflict with Joresce's own ideals and she considers shehm a threat to both the state and the Javeian way of life.
Religious Views
A fanatical follower of the Ancient Ways since her childhood, Joresce strictly adheres to all traditions and rituals that are observed by the religion. According to her it is the one and only truth and a path that will bring utopia to all of the world if everyone would subject themselves to its teachings. She thinks any deviations from it should be stopped and in the case of repeat offenders, punished. Even though she doesn't publicly speaks her mind about these matters as not to upset and alienate the Wayward, she would prefer to see this social group completely disappear, be it through conversion to the religion or through deportation out of the state. In her role as High Counciler she keeps quiet about theses ideals, but she is planning to implement measures to reach this goal if/when she achieves the ultimate position of Holy Protector of the Ancient Ways.
