Wallenwold
Wallenwold lies in the hills and mountains in the south of Nathir. From the plains and Dwarven stronghold in the west, the region follows the towering South Mountains eastward, all the way to the gaping pass into the desert beyond. Where the western half is populated by walled cities between forests and mountains, the east is dry, harsh, and constantly threatened by creatures and outlaws from the desert and the Crater Sprawl to the south. Old tribes in the east use the name ''Aghmarti'' for their region, meaning ''the ascent''.
Author's note: This region is inspired by a mix of Caucasian, near-east and Balkan cultures. Originally a hill-dwarf and halfling society, now a conglomerate of clans and houses in a commercialist struggle for controlling what little land there is.
