Edmond Heywood
Lord Edmond Hugh Heywood (a.k.a. Edmond the Diplomat)
Physical Description
Facial Features
Edmond is an older gentleman, with a well-kept short beard and wavy hair falling down to his shoulders. Both his beard and his hair have begun to gray, however, they still hold much of their original light brown colour. He has kind, hazel eyes and a large nose. He is considered quite attractive for an older man, with a chiseled jaw and a healthy skin colour, with some small scars visible here and there on his face.

Personal history
Edmond was born the first son of his father, Lord Hugh. His mother died during childbirth, so he was raised by his father, his three older sisters, and his wetnurse in his early childhood. He was interested in combat and ruling from a young age, but also liked spending his time playing music with his sisters.
Aged 7, he became his uncle's page and then later one of his squires. His uncle, Rowland, was the Count of Wexley, a county on the south coast, near the Heywood-Ingmar border. Edmond spent most of his early life at his uncle's castle in Wexley town. The border county on the coast is a very lively place, with pirate attacks, border skirmishes, and goblin raids from the mountains all being relatively common occurrences. His uncle was known as the finest knight in Heywood lands and Edmond accompanied him into every battle and tournament he attended. He learned to fight and lead troops, but he also continued his musical education.
He received his knighthood in his early twenties and decided he wanted to travel. His father was apprehensive at first, but Edmond managed to convince him he would come back and rule Baymore and its lands. He spent the next decade adventuring around Ancaepya, especially on the southern island. He was traveling around Catancia with his party when he heard word of a civil war happening in his father's lands.
He hired a company of mercenary crossbowmen with the money he had earned and hurried back north, finding his uncle in the midst of a rebellion against his father. Edmond was extremely conflicted, as one of the men was his father by blood, while the other had raised him. His uncle's troops had defeated his father's in an earlier battle and were marching north to Baymore after having sieged down a couple of castles and towns. His father had managed to raise another army in the meantime and was looking to engage Rowland in the plains south of Baymore, afraid to risk the welfare of the City. The armies were camped about two hours march from each other on the night before the battle and that's when Edmond arrived with his mercenaries and the men he had raised along the way.
Both men expected Edmond to help them and were surprised to find his army had dug in right in the middle of the chosen battlefield, facing both directions. Edmond sent messengers to his uncle and his father, inviting them to parley. At the meeting, he managed to convince both to lay down their arms and raise him to become Lord Heywood, defusing the situation. Recently, a legend has begun to form, with rumors saying he calmed the warring brothers with music from his lute.
Edmond has ruled Baymore ever since, and the city and region have prospered beneath him.
