Indea
Indea, the goddess of winter, was created by Imir, the last of his children and latest deity of nature to be born. She created no lesser gods of her own, instead influencing every other god of the pantheon.
Accounts of Indea visiting in dreams and visions are similarly rare and difficult to prove, owing to their more common occurrence in those near death, lost in freezing temperatures. Most of these stories echo tales of her physical form, a pure white elven woman with piercing blue eyes. Some, however, speak of a blizzard, vaguely taking the shape of a person, with two pricks of blue light dancing within, pulsing with every word spoken by the vision.
Description
Few viable descriptions of physical manifestations of Indea exist, with most accounts coming from hideously frostbitten individuals found on the brink of death in the high mountains. However, several more reliable accounts confirm what many of these stories speak of; a slender, snow-white skinned woman of elvish features, hair white as her dress, looking as though a blizzard wraps around her form. The only colour seen are her eyes, a piercing blue, swimming between the deepest ocean blue, to a summer's sky.Accounts of Indea visiting in dreams and visions are similarly rare and difficult to prove, owing to their more common occurrence in those near death, lost in freezing temperatures. History
The Frost Queen was one of the latest gods to come into being. When Imir saw the other gods, and the fledgeling mortal races, giving in to base instincts and emotion, he crafted Indea of ice, taken from the highest peaks of the world. She uses this power to control Amion's winters, bringing her snow and ice across the world each year to ensure the races do not take pleasant weathers for granted. In addition, her influence extends to the emotions of the gods, which she tempers to the best of her ability, quelling the worst conflicts between deities.Relationships
Indea and her worshippers have generally little conflict with most other gods, as she does not interfere directly with their dealings. However, the more chaotic deities, most notably Mirena, Valdir and Vyrra despise the Frost Queen, and their worshippers are outright violent towards those of Indea. Followers of Ephira often conflict with Indea's congregation as well, owing to their proclivity for letting emotion and love rule them.Worshippers
Indea, while not the most widely worshipped god in Avalyra, has a strong presence in many mountain towns, with shines full of offerings from travellers worried about blizzards blocking their paths. Further out in the kingdom, fewer shrines and temples can be found, though when winter hits, more individuals pay their respects to the Frost Queen, lest they suffer a harsh season. Additionally, many spies of the Kingdom of Avalyra offer respects to Indea, seeking ways to keep their emotions in check, so as to perform their role better.
