Sol Squadron

The elite of the elite. Sol Squadron is the pinnacle of war and imperial might of the Radiant Empire. These chosen ten Chevalier Saphir are the most accomplished generals in the empire and the personal bodyguards of the Empress Apolla Conessa. The presence of even one them means the Empress herself is personally aware of the circumstances which brought them there. Flying through the skies on majestic griffons, Sol Squadron is capable of unleashing incalcuable damage on armies.

Weaponry

Each member of Sol Squadron is free to equip themselves how they see fit. They are often monikered by the unique and powerful weapons they wield. For example, Gaston uses the Thundercracker hammer which can summon storms of lightening against his foes. While Catherine sets her foes aflame with the Summersword.

Vehicles

Each member rides a griffon with terrifying ability. While some members only use their griffons in times of war or operation, others are practically never seen without their griffon. The beasts themselves are loyal to the death for their riders often becoming despondent and grief striken without their mount.

Structure

The leader of Sol is none other than the Empresses own child and heir Princess and Lady Commander Silvia Conessa. A prodigal warrior in her own right. Typically, the heir-apparent is not the de facto leader of Sol and usually there is no distinct commander. As the members of Sol consider themselves equals. While rivalries and personality conflicts emerge, there has never been open conflict between members.
