Fatamoph

Fatamoph, or Father Unicorn, is the male half of the The Royal Beasts. When the Heart of Altairus began to falter on its duty, Fatamoph was promoted to the principle father god that most Altairians venerated. He has domain over the Seelie elements of Anima.

In art, he takes the form of a unicorn with silver or gold fur, a wild, fiery mane, crystal-blue eyes, and a horn and hooves of gold. He has a caprine beard hanging from his chin the same color as his mane. He may also be wearing heavy armor, depending on what role he is portraying.

Divine Domains

Fatamoph represents the divine masculine aspect. He is considered the father of all beasts and faeries and the King of Altairus. His bestial form is taken from the unicorn, which is a graceful but fierce creature in battle.

He has domain over the Seelie elements: Air, Fire, and Light. His aspect is the strongest around the Summer Solstice.

In myth, Fatamoph is both a sage and a warrior. He commonly takes on the role of a father figure. While Mutamoph nurtures and protects the youngest Altairians, Fatamoph provides guidance to those looking to forge their own paths. Altairians invoke him for insight in matters of love, war, family, and career. He can also take the role of a general leading his armies to victory. Soldiers who invoke Fatamoph before battle are said to emerge victorious no matter what circumstances they face.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Fatamoph is represented on the left half of the Sigil of Altairus, as shown below:

He is placed near the Seelie elements he has guardianship over.

Holidays

Unsurprisingly, Fatamoph is venerated on the Summer Solstice. At this point in the year, his power is said to be strongest. This is when Altairians perform their most powerful Seelie spells and try to invoke him for assistance.

The Vernal Equinox and Summer's End are also closely associated with Fatamoph. It is said that Fatamoph sheds his horn every winter, growing it back on the Vernal Equinox. On Summer's End, he ties the knot with Mutamoph, mating with her to produce the egg that becomes Lümamoph on the Winter Solstice.

Fatamoph also has some associations with the harvest. Certain rituals performed during the Summer Solstice are meant to ensure a fruitful year. During the Dawn of Autumn, part of the harvest is dedicated to Fatamoph as thanks.
