Miracle Tincture

The Miracle Tincture is a medicine created and distributed by the Grenagan Empire. The elixir was first concocted in the Year 18, during the conquest of La Tantani. Its recipe was derived from a traditional Tantani herbal medicine which used a blend of herbs native to the continent. The Miracle Tincture is made by blending these herbs with a very small amount of Alumentum , before dissolving the mixture in strong alcohol. The tincture is marketed as a necessity for people to withstand the pollution produced from Alum power, and while it has beneficial effects for Aluma-rot prevention, its real purpose is to curb the sex drive of the populace. Only the highly elite members of the Grenagan Empire are privy to this effect and ulterior motive.   Miracle Tincture is manufactured by lower class (male) laborers in the Industrial Sector. These laborers grind the herbs and Alum, while higher class female overseers ensure quality of the product. A vial of Tincture from every batch is tested before export, requiring a test subject to be unaffected by the tonic for two weeks before it is administered. If the tester experiences a suppressed sex drive after ingesting the tonic, the batch is shipped. Because of the secrecy of this designed effect of libido suppression, testing is done in a subterranean dungeon-like facility, usually underneath the manufacturing center. Testers are usually criminals or dissidents of the empire. They are confined and used for these experiments through the rest of their days, never allowed to escape lest they expose the secret purpose of Miracle Tincture.   Vials of Miracle Tincture are transported from the Industrial Sector to the Tincture Distribution Center in the Airshipping District, where they are then exported across the empire.
