Gyroscope Globe

Mechanics & Inner Workings

A small globe is attached to a base. At the core is a small Alumentum power core that keeps the device rotating on an axis. The core helps to power a gyroscope that the globe sits in.   The gyroscope uses a system of magnets to keep the globes orientation the same as Earth's. Then based on the position of the sun. A well trained navigator can find exactly where they are on the globe. The navigator then has to figure out where they are by cross referencing maps of the area and the globe. For places already on the globe, like Grenagem and colony airports, transporting things has become trivial. As it safer and faster than boats.   Every year the globe becomes more and more accurate. Solidifying the Empires power and control.
