Conhecimento e Sabedoria

Conhecimento e Sabedoria is a public library that all have access to. It’s located in the western part of the Airshipping district. The Orgulho Rigorosa can be seen cutting into the horizon to the east. Airships often cast shadows over the library, a sight many Grenagan are used to. It’s location makes it rarely visited by non-Grenagen despite its advertisement. Those cast out from society feel the military presence more than anyone.   The library mostly contains academic texts and propaganda. Anything deemed radical is banned from the library. The library has routine “clean ups” as people like to leave banned texts on the book shelves. Whether this is done as a joke or as an attempt to convert people is unknown. The most interesting texts in the library are the “journals” of well known explorers. In most cases these are heavily edited or written by someone else, a little government secret.

Outside the library is a park honoring Grenagan explorers. Giant sculptures depict their adventures. Even kids play sets are setup as the journey of these explorers. Young girls are encouraged to interact with these play sets. So that they can pretend to be explorers themselves. Encouraging them to seek higher education. These exhibits are well maintained and more are added with every passing year.

This used to be a small library housing a collection texts from across the world before the birth of the Empire. Early in its history the Empire started to target any texts it deemed as dangerous. This library and many others like it have been gutted, if not out right destroyed. Now the Conhecimento exists as a shell of its former self despite being ten times the size.
