Apicerm
Geography
Apicerm the northeastern island is a large volcano almost extinct. A number of lava rivers still flow down its sides creating plumes of steam as they reach the ocean but its days of grand explosions are well past. The mountain itself is sharp and jagged with youth requiring skilled mountaineers to traverse its slopes.
The rugged environment is home to many families of Dwarves and Stouts who live in relative peace farming sheep and goats over the mountainside. Within the mountain the Baztek Osor has established tunnels for both mining and making use of the active volcano to create unique fire infused items.
Surrounding the island a large reef has developed and the island will eventually become an atoll like its many surrounding brothers.
Fauna & Flora
Apicerm is home to a number of avian creatures, from nesting seabirds to larger beasts like hippogriffs and rocs. The plentiful shallow sea to the south and west provides much of these creatures diet but they have begun to enjoy the odd dwarf or their mountain goats.
Scattered corpses of trees and shrubs grow near the shore and across the jagged slopes of Apicerm where volcanic soils have collected and mixed with the avian guano. Some of these have been cleared by the Dwarves to grow their tough crops.
