Session 5: Gerber the Goblin

On the 24th of Winterwane, the party rescued Gerber the Goblin from the The Cult of Cogs. They discovered that Mahlon, the person they sought after, had apparently been captured by the Cult and was sacrificed a few days beforehand.   Upon further investigation, they could not find the Wand they were quested to uncover, so they returned to Damon Soul to share the news. They gave him a dark book (The Apologetic of Smarthen, Upon the christening of Mannes, and its implications for us today.), and for the information + the book Daman gave them 600gp.   Seeing that Mahlon was gone, and the Wand was now in the possession of the Stanky Cheese Fangs, Damon welcomed the Team into the Scavengers and comissioned them with finding the wand in the Gap, using Gerber as a guide. He gave them all the necessary documentations, and they spent some time in the city:    Long time spent in the Orthomancers headquarters registering magical items:

  Also in the city, they purchased some "tortle soup" and health potions from Tortle Soup and Other Remedies; Wu used the Chaos orb and grew mushrooms on his head; explored a magic weapons shop and couldn't afford the prices for the weapons.   After an additional time spent waiting to exit the city, they eventually made their way onto the Bridge of Thalmor. During the second day of traveling across the bridge, they ran into a large gap that is seemingly under repair, but crossable due to a ricketedy wooden bridge that connected the Thalmoris Bridge. They were ambushed by stirges, took a short rest, and ended their rest as a party of kobolds (6 with wings carrying 5 without wings) flew toward them on the bridge.   Ended session on the 26th of Winterwane, around 1pm.
