She has the rare elven ability to feel the emotional history of a place by standing there, especially if she experienced them herself. She also gets premonitions in the form of terrible headaches.

Crimson learned medicine from her mother, who worked as Lior's healer, and Scarlet helped around the inn their father ran.
In 1999, Auburn's curiosity and adventurous nature brought a deadly virus into Lior and everyone in the small town died except Crimson and Scarlet, who were immune. Directly afterward, Scarlet and Crimson struggled to defend the city from a large band of bandits. After the bandits were vanquished, Crimson and Scarlet determined to keep Lior and slowly rebuild it. In the meantime, they worked as merchants throughout The Hylands.
In 2001, Crimson and Scarlet accompanied the Elfbournes to Remera to aid them against Caeli, one of their four Tetra, who had grown restless from their relegation to a small domain within Remera. That's when Crimson learned about her heritage.
The same year (2001), Crimson married Elk Elfbourne.Crimson was born--along with her twin, Scarlet--princess of Remera. She was barely two when her parents moved to the Hylands, due to political unrest that placed them in danger, and settled in Lior with some of Crimson's mother's family. Crimson and Scarlet grew up without knowing they were Remeran royalty, and their younger brother Auburn was born in Lior in 1993.
Education
Growing up with a Remeran father, Crimson was always encouraged to explore the things she was interested in, in addition to her primary schoolwork. Her father always helped to make her schoolwork as fun and interesting as possible. She was encouraged to pay particular attention to math and science, and she also learned history, Arkannen, Severen, and was part of a chorus at school.
Beyond that, her primary interest was medicine, which she learned from her mother in Lior's hospital.

She often blames herself for not being able to find a cure for Calor when the epidemic spread through Lior.

Though Scarlet doesn't really understand Crimson's feelings and premonitions, she always tries to help Crimson through them.
