The Primordial Artifacts

It is said in the ancient myths that the primordial gods were no more than human in the beginning, and in time their existence was suffused with the power of creation, bringing about the elemental reshaping of the world. It is said the primordial weapons were created as a result of the thousand year conflict which would change the material plane permanently and alter the landscapes of the entire world.   In time, with the changing of the ages these artifacts would persist only through legend as their names and locations became forgotten as people stopped worshipping the primordial deities.   As the legends say, each of the artifacts was a weapon worthy of its original user, and while the names may have changed over time the essence of them has not. In the common tongue of the seventh age, they are as follows:   The Thousand-ton Iron Pillar of Unugh'kai.   The Resplendant Arkenbow of Karithas.   The Blood-borne Blades of Iathroga.   The Seafaring Spear of Kei'arani.   The Storm-singer Fan of Ankharal.   Beyond weaponry, each Primordial is said to have had a Mask. The Path of the Virtues, an ancient faith in Alephon, associates these to their own tenets, as they were a main source of information on these artifacts, and there is sparse information on more artifacts beyond these, but the true number and kind is unknown. To many, these artifacts are purely mythical with little basis in reality, as the true-divine artifacts of ages past are kept under guard and are told of in their respective stories and cults, and yet the very idea of their existence has led many adventurers and explorers to try to find them, thereby perpetuating their legendary status.    The Sylphereni Empire of Aethoria perpetuates its own version of the myth, wherein the royal family is directly descended from and blessed by a sixth primordial deity, and while church leaders of other faiths have tried to verify this, the very nature of the Primordial deities renders such judgements near-impossible.

Despite its name, the Iron Pillar is distinctly not made of iron or any other metal that was known in its last appearance, nor is it likely to weigh one thousand tons, in legend it is said to be heavy enough to resist the movement of the heavens themselves.   The Resplendant Arkenbow is light itself given form of a longbow, nevertheless it has weight and mass to it. Though it requires no arrows, manifesting ammunition from its own light, potent enough to rival the sun itself.   The Blood-borne Blades are so named because they become one with the weilder, manifesting and disappearing at will, and always appearing to be made of bone and blood.   The Seafaring Spear, guiding sailors with its gleaming silver and resplendent turquise gem near the bladed tip, equally useful as a weapon as for spellcasting.   The Storm-Singer Fan, said to have created the Arascan Everstorm in its first beat, though golden, it is not gold for it is said to be as light as a single feather.
