Rikoren (Rick-ore-ren)
Fierce, Mute and misunderstood
"They speak with no mouth and raise the dead. Their strength and intelligence combine to make a force so great if they came together they could destroy millions, or save them." - King Lucian (401 ATR)
History
Not much is known but what the Drairy speak of the Rikoren. They say that when the Drairy came about, so did the Rikoren. Though their Mother species is completely unknown, they somewhat resemble the orc-like giants of the Dunfaught Mountains, that roamed Almaria before it is said that the Daimon came and slaughtered them for their land. It is largely believed that the Rikoren are some sort of descendant or cousin species of those unnamed giants. The Rikoren are mainly known for their violent attacks upon the Drairy civilisation, trying to claim the land as their own, however the knowledge of the Rikoren is mainly written by Drairy scribes, who have a very biased opinion of this race, classing the entirety of the species in the same boat as the Sullik tribe, a group of barbarian Rikoren who are the ones responsible for the Ferren Wild Attacks. According to Fae-Human Scholar, Alexander Reeks who spent many months among the outer land tribes of the Rikoren, they are peaceful and intelligent beings who conduct a rather lost art of bringing dead loved ones back to life. This scholar is also the only non-Rikoren to know and teach the unique sign language of the people.Appearance
Rikoren are mysterious, described mainly by Drairy scribes and Daimon explorers. It is an extremely rare sight to see a Rikoren on Alean land. Those who have seen them describe their tinted-coloured skin ranging from reds to blues or hues of green, some even describe sighting a whole tribe with glistening golden skin. They have tattoos similar to the Daimon, however, theirs cover the entire lower half of their face and decent to cover the whole top portion of their chest, in spirally intricate designs that completely obscure the skin from view. It is said that these tattoos are given during the coming of age ceremony to celebrate adulthood. Rikoren also have two sets of large rhino-like horns on their forehead and temples. One tribe, the Sullik tribe, slice off the middle set of horns leaving stubs, to separate themselves from other tribes.Life Expectancy
Rikoren have the same life expectancy as humans, living to around 90 years old. In their society, Rikoren come of age and are considered adults at the young age of twelve. Despite this young age of adulthood, explorers and Daimon researchers suggest that more complicated aspects of being an adult such as marriage and starting a family are not acceptable until at least twenty years of age.Dwellings
The Rikoren all stay within the confines of the The Ferren Wilds. Mainly on the eastern side of the ridge, populating Sull'A , home to the Sullik Tribe, Cotra, Newmist and Fallmir. There is a small population of Rikoren in Grenrock on the western side, though they are outnumbered heavily by the Drairy that live there. Korrin Isle is also home to this species, though not much is known of the Korrin Rikoren.Opinions on other races
The Rikoren are a separated people. The only Daimon they would have met are the explorers that adventure there, and have not expressed any strong opinion towards them. Some Rikoren have a close relationship with Drairy and others despise them, the Drairy feel animosity towards Rikoren so therefore do not show them kindness.

Nemroy Rikoren
Nemroy are the most common subspecies of Rikoren, found all across the Ferren Wilds, but mostly in Cotra, Fallmir and Newmist in small tribes of around fifty - one hundred Rikoren. Their horns are slightly larger than Sullik Rikoren, and they are not cut like their southern counterpart. The tattoos of these tribes depict their lives in little simplistic illustrations. Their skin is usually dark in colour, and the whites of their eyes are actually black, with the bright coloured iris in the centre of them. It is thought that they get these traits because of their necromantic tendencies These tribes have a special connection to the dead, communing with them and creating intense emotional relationships that resemble that of the living. It's no wonder that these Rikoren do not fear death.Necromancy

A deadly warrior tribe of Sullik that takes over the entire south east of the Ferren Wilds, named Sull'A after the Sullik Rikoren that live there. There are said to be around 500 all living together in this mass tribe. These are also the tribe of Rikoren most known to the co-inhabitent of the continent, Drairy, as it is them who pillage their villages and kill their families, looting and slaying in their wake. It is unknown why the Sullik do this, but they seem to have anger and invasion in their clear-coloured blood. The Sullik cut their middle set of horn as a ritual of adulthood (at twelve years old) and also as a marker of their distinct subspecies. They do not partake in Necromancy like the Nemroy, but they do have an abundance of power in the way of strength and stamina. Their skin is lighter in colour, and their eyes are more similar to that of a Human or Daimon, unlike the blackened eyeballs belonging to the Nemroy. They also have tattoos, but they are red rather than black, and signify how many people they have killed.Spells
