Air of the Elder Trees

A Mantle is a natural phenomenon generated by an Elder Tree. Mantles radiates for several miles from their source, protecting the environment of life and peace that is generated at the core. Plant life grows healthier, their colors brighter than natural. Sunlight is gentle and sweet on the skin. Rain may come, but storms never occur. The air itself seems to have a dim glow, causing even the darkest night to shine as twilight to those in the Mantle.

A natural part of Elder Trees, Elf have long studied the Magic of Mantles. Through this they learned to create artificial ones, though much more limited in nature. An artificial Mantle is created using ritual magic, centered on Feywilds. The range is limited, never extending past the bounders of the Feywild.

Artifical Mantles, though limited, can be augmented when created. Additional protects can be added to the Mantles at the time of creation. Most of these additions include the ability to hide the community from the outside world. It can take dozens of elves, working in ritualistic tandem, to create an artificial Mantle. A single mistake can cause the entire thing to collapse.
