Kubaer

Ninth Province, North

Kubaer, written Ku'bar in ancient texts, is a nation of loosely allied farming communities. To call it a nation, however, is something of an overstatement. There is little in the way of an organized government. At best the communities gather on occasion to discuss crops and trade routes, working together to keep their valley home fruitful for each other. The most these commities have organized, nationally, is defence agreements with Haithfia and Lechlan, have those nations provide soldiers to garrion towns. Kubaer is located in the Axia Valley of western Slavyum, just east of the Plashin Range on the major continent of Ethae.

Kubaer was once part of that the Republic of Lakorth, along with Haithfia to their south. The two regions combined into what the Republic called the Ninth Provence. When the Republic declined and lost control of the region, the Haitha established their own small republic, abandoning the war-torn Axia Valley region. Over time, with more stability, especially during the reign of the United Kingdoms of Novyum, the Axa of the valley established their own 'nation' and Kubaer was born. Kubaer, an old Slava term meaning 'tranquil valley' lives up to its name for the most part in the modern day, even in the troubled times of the Novyum Civil War.
