The Immortal Legion is a one thousand strong military force that acts as the Nugator royal family's bodyguards and personal army. In a military nation such as Nugator nearly every citizen train and serves in the armed forces to some capacity. The Immortal Legion is considered the best of these soldier citizens. The Bulwark that stands between their nation and the Orc of the Scaro Wilds.

The Legion's reputation as a discipled fighting force is legendary throughout Tinjir. They are the heroes of the children of Nugator. They are the knight every Nugata inspires to be. This should not be confused with the image of the chivalric knights of the Heartlands, however. These warriors are ruthless defenders of their homeland. That is their duty, second only to protecting the current monarch, Queen Utica. Every one of them is expected to lay their lives down for this duty. To fail this and live is a fate worse than death.

The Immortal Legion, as stated, is an army of one thousand members. There are no more, nor less. When a Legion knight falls, a recruit in waiting fills the rank. The Legion takes only the best is their society. Potential members that have been singled out for their prowess and bravery are assigned position in the military that will expand their experience and skill, often in frontline fighting. When an Immortal dies the Legion leadership picks from this pool. The Legion does not discriminate between male or female. They do however separate the units between the two genders to keep personal relationships to a minimum.
