Wood Collector

A Wood Collector is a person who goes around Draurough and Pillar's Rest, to collect wood from business and private individuals. This wood is stock that can't be sold or used. Once the wood has been collected it is then delivered to Draurough Lighthouse by donkey, to be burnt.

Career

Qualifications

To be a Wood Collector one needs the logic to be able to take the shortest route between businesses on the collector's route. They would need to be personable as they will be enaging with the public on their route.

Career Progression

There is not much in the way of carreer progression apart from allowing more expirenced wood collectors to do routes that require to talk to more people than other routes.

Payment & Reimbursement

After collecting wood, the wood collector, delivers the wood waste to Draurough Lighthouse once the wood is sold the Lighthouse keeper gives the money to the Wood Collector. It is this where the pay comes out of. They are then paid per delivery.

Other Benefits

As with all professions outside the University, or even before the Artistocracy employers pay for or provide at least one meal a day as legal requirement to the employee, not the employee's family, this does not mean the employee can't buy more food if needed.

Purpose

The purpose of the Wood Collector, is to collect wood and to deliver to the Draurough Lighthouse.

They are perceived as necessity even if the job is not glamorous.

Tools include baskets for the donkeys back and gloves.

Workplace

The Wood Collector's barn is the home of the Wood Collectors. The bottom floor of the building is where the donkeys are stabled with the upper floor for the building being where the Wood Collectors get briefed along with eat, See Other Benefits.

Provided Services

A Wood Collector, collects wood in Draurough and Pillar's Rest from businnesses and private individuals and delivers the wood by donkey to the Draurough Lighthouse being accompanied by a Protectors.

Dangers & Hazards

The main danders are of getting splinters from the wood. potionally getting hit with wood and the donkey harming the collector. The Collector getting harmed on the way to the lighthouse, hence the need for the Protector.
