The Ashes of course have other peices other than ash, such as charcoal that will not burn or bits of wood along with the ashes wanted. The ash is then processed by being sieved with the clumbs taken out the ash is then sold to Chandlers to make soap. The bits of wood are burnt in the Ash buyers shop for warmth. The charcoal sold to trades that can turn it into either ink pigment or sold to make charcoal sticks. These three products will be put into sacks and then sold.

With Ash Buyers, their progression means getting stronger and have more endurance to work longer hours processing ash. Ultimately the Ash buyer might become the owner of the store not requiring an University Mark.

Other Benefits
As with all professions outside the University or even before the Artistocracy employers pay for or provide at least one meal a day as a legal requirement to the employee, not the employee's family, this does not mean the employee can't buy more food if needed.
