Basic Information
Anatomy
Much like your common house cat, the Lynean is capable of walking on all fours, but due to evolution, they are also capable of walking on only two legs, and culturally, this is the accepted modus operandi.
Growth Rate & Stages
Aging at a faster rate than most other sapients, the Lyneans reaches physcial maturity by the age of 8, but is not considered a full adult until their 14th year.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Consists of mostly meats and protein rich vegetation, such as beans.

Lyneans are adept at seeing in dim light, and have highly developed senses of smell.

Beauty Ideals
Having a long, fluffy tail, and long fur is considered the apex of beauty, whilst having a stubby tail or other genetic anomalies is seen as a mutt of impure blood.
Gender Ideals
Whilst neither male nor female is considered superior, females are generally bigger and stronger than their male counterparts.
Courtship Ideals
The male will often bring small 'gifts' to the female of their liking, if the female accepts their gifts, they are considered to be courting. However, before an engagement can be made, the matriarch's blessing must be given.
Average Technological Level
Tinkers at heart, the Lynean is considered among the most technologically advanced culture of the time, however, they have a tendency to break their inventions as often as they fix them.
Common Dress Code
Typically content with a simple covering of their upper body, pants are the sole purview of the rich.
Common Taboos
A Lynean who is unable to walk on their two legs is seen as backwards and wrong, Slavery and servitude amongst Lyneans is the worst offense possible, to offer a Lynean a job as a butler, maid, or similar servant is seen as demeaning.
History
Back in the ancient times at the start of the age of darkness, it is said the first Lynean was forced into evolution with demonic magics to serve as cannon fodder so that the other races could survive.
However, due to their own intellect and cunning, they broke free of their Yotunn masters and forged their own path through the darkness, becoming an independent race.
Historical Figures
The original Baron of Mouse was a Lynean who aided The Great Empire of Alleria beyond the scope of his duties, and was awarded the Barony of Mouse as a means of both rewarding him and getting out of the way.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Not particularly friendly with their ancient creators, the Yotunn, they seem to hold biologically inherited grudges.
