Dreambloom Bush

Height and Spread: The Dreambloom Bush typically grows to a height of 1.5 to 2 meters (5 to 6.5 feet) and has a spread of approximately 1 to 1.5 meters (3 to 5 feet). Its growth habit is bushy and well-rounded.   Leaves: The leaves of the Dreambloom Bush are broad and ovate, measuring 5 to 10 centimeters (2 to 4 inches) in length. They are dark green with a slightly glossy surface and serrated edges. The leaves are arranged alternately along the stems.   Flowers: The bush produces small, delicate flowers in clusters at the tips of its branches. Each flower is composed of five white petals with a slight pinkish tinge near the center. The flowers are fragrant, emitting a sweet, subtle scent that attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The flowering period is from late spring to early summer.   Stems and Branches: The stems and branches of the Dreambloom Bush are woody and sturdy, with a reddish-brown bark that becomes slightly rougher with age. New growth tends to be more flexible and lighter in color.   Fruits: Following the flowering period, the bush produces small, red berries that are not edible and should be handled with care due to their mild toxicity.   Birds that consume the fruit of the Dreambloom Bush quickly fall unconscious, making them easy targets for larger predators. The catfolk take advantage of this by gathering the fallen birds for a simple meal. However, they always cook or roast the birds thoroughly to eliminate the toxins before eating.

Propagation: The Dreambloom Bush can be propagated through seeds or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in well-drained soil and kept moist until germination. Cuttings can be taken in late spring and should be planted in a mixture of sand and peat to encourage root development.   Care: This bush requires moderate watering and thrives in soil with good drainage. It benefits from annual pruning to maintain its shape and encourage healthy growth. While it can tolerate a range of light conditions, it prefers partial to full sunlight for optimal flowering.  

Habitat: The Dreambloom Bush thrives in the temperate regions surrounding Phurr, favoring well-drained soil and moderate sunlight. It is commonly found on the edges of forests and in clearings where it can receive partial to full sunlight.

Smoke Production: When the leaves and branches of the Dreambloom Bush are set on fire, they produce a thick white smoke that carries a sweet, earthy aroma. This smoke has the unique property of inducing vivid shared dreams in catfolk, lasting for several hours.
