Kreelenvolb (KREE-lun-volb)
Kreelenvolb, meaning "Cavern of Souls" in Ancient Yasamaqi, is an unusually large cave that is situated at the very western end of Yasamaq. It can only be reached by using the Arventollan.
Kreelenvolb is filled to the brim with gemstones; there are so many of them within this one cave that the walls scintillate and glitter, even in low light. It is believed that the Gods began to carve Yasamaq from Kreelenvolb, and that the souls of the deceased are contained within those gems, only to be reincarnated into another body later on. Thus, these gems are called Arvenhelmi.
Kreelenvolb is one of the only places in Yasamaq that is under constant, and organised, surveillance. Due to the religious significance of those gems, as well as their financial allure, direct descendants of Qarah the Kind make it their duty to watch over the entirety of the cavern, and to keep accurate records on who goes in, at what time, and for what purpose. They forbid entry to anyone that does not have a stated purpose to be here; failing that, they kill any intruders, which does include the odd monster that makes its way to this cave. People from Siarvald are usually not allowed within the Cavern itself.
While all sorts of gems can be found within this cave, blue sapphires are the most common.
