Administration District

The Administration District is a district in Qarah's Dream. It is the smallest district of them all. The Council of Six Sages has their headquarters in this district. One can also find the many administrative offices that make sure the city is running correctly there, as well as the embassies of both Siarvald and Yasamaq.

Locations

  • City Hall: The large, six-pointed building where the Six Sages preside. Though visitors are not allowed inside, it still sees quite a bit of foot traffic; not only from workers or other politicians that work there, but also from ambassadors or prestigious guests of the city.
  • Hall of Unity: This well-guarded building stands in the middle of the district, and it is said that this was the first finished building of the city - the very one where the Treaty was first written. Visitors are able to come and see the original document with their own eyes - all while being under heavy watch, of course.
  • Siarvaldan Embassy: Siarvald's ambassadors reside in this building. Though their relations with the Yasamaqi Embassy used to be amicable, they have soured as of late, and the ambassadors spend much of their time cloistered
  • Yasamaqi Embassy: Yasamaq's ambassadors, most of them from Qarah's Clan, live in this building. Their relations with the Siarvaldan Embassy has worsened lately, and the Yasamaqi have been virulent in their accusations of negligence by the Siarvaldan. Still, they make an effort to keep the city, as a whole, out of this dispute. It is an ancestral neutral ground, after all.
  • Dreamcatchers' Headquarters: This austere-looking building serves as the barracks for the Dreamcatchers, the guards of Qarah's Dream. It also contains a prison and serves as a makeshift tribunal, especially used for the pettier crimes.
  • Qarah's Nightmare: Though this building's real name is "Qarah's Dream's Tax Hall", it has earned its nickname due to being the most loathed building in the city. It is heavily guarded, even more so than the Hall of Unity, and petitioners are only allowed in one at a time, and only if escorted. There have been many incidents in the past, hence the extra measures of precaution.
  • Qarah's Dream's National Transportation Service Headquarters (or "Transportation Headquarters" for short): Everything that has to do with the carriage service offered by the city is here. They deal with any and all problems with carriages, horses, and even customers.

Notable people

  • Captain Jalnas Sharkjaw, a triton and captain of the Dreamcatchers. Quite atypical for a Triton, this man feels a strong sense of duty to the city that rescued him from a life of pompousness. Known to be a somewhat crude but highly charismatic person.
