Vaelien the Kind
Divine Domains
Vaelien holds influence over the care over the sick.
When someone is sick or otherwise in need of medical attention, it is common for them to pray to Vaelien for her mercy and aid. The greatest rumored miracles were of people being saved from the brink of death, a severed limb being reattached or even regrown.
Another realm of influence is the blessing of hospitality. Vaelien gives grace and provision to those who are gracious and respectful hosts.
A superstition has arisen that should a host harm his guests after welcoming them into his home and offering them food and rest, a great curse is laid upon you and your household. No official doctrine has ever been written declaring this to be a truth of Vaelien, but many will point to families who have suffered or even fallen completely to destitution as proof of this. The most notable story is the infamous Varigoulf house, a noble family from Tidefront who invited their business rivals to dinner. The food was poisoned and the rivals were all killed. Shortly there after, instead of securing a booming trade monopoly, the entire family became sick with a rare plague. Not only did this kill every family member of the Varigoulf house, but their ancestral home was declared infested and plagued beyond restoration, causing the home to be burnt to the ground and built over. Now the existence of the Varigoulf family being only a memory is often used as a reminder of the dangers of bad hospitality.
Artifacts
Pendent of Vaelien
A small, iron pendent on either a string or small chain carried by devotees of Vaelien. Depicting a dove resting on a wreath, it symbolizes the harmony and care given by Vaelien to her people. When wielded by a divine caster, it can be used as a Holy Icon implement, RoT pg. 98.
Holy Books & Codes
The Auxilia Scrolls are a collection of commonly copied and distributed works said to have originated from the first students of Vaelien. They have a collection of herbal recipes, medical procedures, farming techniques, and a collection of the items relating to homesteading and improving the personal life of the people. These can be commonly found within all major cities. It is common to find individual parts of the works scattered in smaller settlements.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Wreaths, in remembrance of the first lessons Vaelien gave the Humans and Dwarves, are placed over doorways are often the sign of a willing host for travelers. Often travelling initiates or priests will have this icon sewn into their clothing to signify they will always be willing to share their resources when met on the road.

Yeah! It’s basically the only way I can do them at the moment. There are so many facets of world writing and it’s way easier to write about what is relevant to my current players. I will add things like holy items and such as they get created. Thanks for taking the time to read!
