over a period of 242 years, mankind hosted several expeditions towards both the east and the west, trying to find new lands the tribes could inhabit. The first 50 years was mostly experimenting with long-term sailing, as ships were extrememly primitive before this time. Longer and longer coastal journeys were started, until eventually the first expedition was hosted towards the west, in the year -258 BP. It never returned, but it was nonetheless a milestone. The next century, many fruitless expeditions were hosted, all leaded by different sorts of tribes. Quickly, new lands had to be found, for more and more famine was plaguing the population back home. Then, however, Three rich and fruitful islands were found right after one another, in the east. First, Eos was discovered. Next, Zelus was discovered. Lastly, Elpis was discovered. While more expeditions were still hosted to find a sizeable continent, many people moved towards Eos, Zelus and Elpis. These ancient people are thought to live there up until this day, living the Tordian culture. in -59 BP, another expedition of two ships set sail from the shores of Tordisti to look for new lands, funded by the Mirvani, with Mirvani sailors and a Mirvani captain. after three weeks to the northeast, they landed in Edowell, the biggest town on the island of Elpis, settled 77 years prior. It was mostly Mirvani. Here they stocked up on supplies, as many as they could get. The captain, master Darval, planned to go east, and not to return until they found land, even if it meant their deaths. His men were with him. for seven long weeks, the ships sailed and sailed, and the sailors started fearing for their lives. When food started to run short, a thin stroke of dark land was seen at the horizon. Darval himself was in the crow's nest at this point, and he yelled: "Land! I see white shores! Lo, behold green veldts!" The ships landed, and the sailors gathered fruits and hunted wildlife that they had not seen before. Where the two ships had landed exactly is unknown, but it is thought to be current day Ascilian, around the area of the town of Thorhold.
Long they dwelled here, but they eventually left and passed around the peninsula of Grayhan and Nomeria. They arrived in western Mirvania, which is current day southern Herak. Only a little they went up the Shageborn river, and founded the colony of Shimit, which still exists to this day. after seven years of building and expanding, one ship returned to Tordisti, to tell of the good news, and of the lands they claimed for the Mirvani in this new land. They titled their new found land Aimane, the gate to fortune in the old Tordian tongue.
