Timberwatch

Timberwatch is a fortified military outpost stationed at the foot of the northern forest, guarding the most critical pass into the Republic of Verisara from the northern wilds and the ever-looming threat of the Empire of Thaldrisar.
  Nestled where the trees thin and the hills begin to rise, the outpost was built during the early Age of Rebuilding to serve as a permanent line of defense. Its walls, constructed from the ironwood of the surrounding forest and reinforced with quarried stone, stretch from the river’s edge to the rocky slopes beyond, forming an imposing barrier across the pass.
  Manned entirely by the Verisaran military, Timberwatch houses a full garrison of infantry, engineers, and archers, trained to hold the line against both foreign armies and monstrous incursions from the untamed north. The outpost’s towers bristle with ballistae, and its walls are strung with signal flags and lanterns, always ready to relay warning to nearby towns and forts.
  Flying from every battlement is the golden banner of Verisara: a steel sword rising from a bed of white forest flowers, symbolizing peace protected by strength and a homeland rooted in remembrance. The blossoms, native to the surrounding woodlands, are said to grow only where old blood has long since soaked into the soil.
  Though the fog of war gathers beyond the trees and the sound of distant war camps now stirs the wind, Timberwatch stands resolute—a bastion of Verisaran will and the last calm breath before the clash of steel.
