High-Praetorian Thilo Lothen
The first of his rank, Thilo Lothen is the High-Praetorian, to the sovereign ascendant charged with protecting her life at all costs and overseeing the training of High-Sovereign Protectors.
Thilo was appointed the traditional role of Praetorian when it was first discovered that he was able to use magic, 10 years later was his sister was born he knew how to fight in both melee combat, ranged and magical. When his sister turned eight she asked him to teach her how to fight and he did. After their parents were assassinated when she was 15 she created the role of High-Praetorian for her brother as she wanted him to continue training her along with filling the duties of a traditional praetorian and half the jobs that the lord regent does as she couldn't trust the current one. Thilo served as her personal bodyguard, courier, and spy. During the months leading to her coronation she tasked him with creating her personal guards that would be strictly loyal to her and him as she could not trust anyone else as they had still not found out the culprits responsible for the death of their parents.

Trained by multiple instructors in both physical combat and magical combat allowing him to best the foes that would seek to kill his sister. Although he couldn't save his parent from dying because he was away training which he deeply regrets.
