SPECIAL ABILITIES

Entropic cloaking (Ex) The death brginger’s outline appears blurred, shifting and wavering. This distortion grants the recipient concealment (50% miss chance). Entropic cloaking is activated as a move action and last for 10 rounds.

Iron Halo Point-Defense (Ex) Each void trooper is equipped with a light iron halo point-defense augmentation.  The system is activated as a move action.  When active, any enemy or unauthorized entity entering an adjacent square cause the system to release a scattergun-like burst.  All creatures within 5-ft. of the deathguard take 1d12 points of damage, Reflex save DC 15 for half.  The light iron halo defense system can burst 3 times before exhausting its ammunition.

Injector Unit Each deathguard is equipped with an injection unit augmentation.  The injection unit contains; 2 units of speedstitch nanovirus, and 1 unit of the overdrive nanovirus.

Nanite Repair (Ex) A necroborg’s nanites heal it, restoring 1 Hit Point per hour.

Valkyrie Greaves (Ex) This augmentation combines prosthetic legs and feet with standard anchor talons and standard jump jets.

Valkyrie vambrace (Ex) The Valkyrie vambrace combines a prosthetic arm, external weapon mount, weapon link, and a HUD compatible interface. This augmentation uses the recipient’s nervous system rather than a brain implant to transmit tactical data to the brain. A ranged weapon mounted to the Valkyrie vambrace gains a +2 circumstance bonus to hit (included in stat block), a +6 bonus to the recipient’s KAC against disarm effects, and an autoloaded with an additional 2 clip capacity.

Ubermensch are void troopers that failed to uphold their end of “the Promise.” Rather than destroy their investment, the necroborg employ mark III personality complex malware and X-VSP along with other cybernetic enhancements. The personality complex strips away the death bringers' memories, and the X-VSP allows a necroborg luminary to pilot the death bringer like a drone or AHAV. Constant neural stripping leaves these once-independent soldiers as hollow vessels, their former identities erased in favor of total obedience to their necroborg masters.

Once converted, ubermensch lose not only their autonomy but also the capacity for emotional response, making them ideally suited for high-risk operations and missions requiring unwavering discipline. The mark III personality complex ensures that any spark of rebellion or hesitation is ruthlessly suppressed, while the X-VSP interface provides real-time control, enabling a luminary to direct multiple death bringers simultaneously as extensions of their own will. This system turns each ubermensch into a living weapon, capable of coordinated strikes, tactical maneuvers, and relentless pursuit of assigned objectives.

To further enhance their effectiveness, ubermensch are fitted with advanced cybernetic augmentations tailored for survival and combat efficiency. Their neural pathways are regularly purged and reprogrammed, preventing the resurgence of old memories or personalities. Over time, this process dehumanizes the death bringers, making them little more than sophisticated automatons—tools to be deployed, sacrificed, and replaced as needed. Despite their grim fate, the presence of death bringers on the battlefield serves as a stark reminder of the necroborg’s commitment to maintaining control and extracting value from every asset, no matter how tainted by failure.
