MAXIMUM EFFORT

Maximum effort is a popular augmentation for silhouettes with time to burn.  This augmentation is an aftermarket device that allows you to bypass the safety protocols on a silhouette’s power supply.  You can sacrifice 2 hours of “peak efficiency” to gain 2d6 rounds of haste.

Once you’ve used the maximum effort augmentation, you can’t use it again until you’ve rested for 10 minutes to regain Stamina Points, though you can spend 1 Edge to activate maximum effort additional times before meeting the rest requirement.  Using Edge still requires burning an additional 2 hours of peak efficiency.  Maximum effort cannot be activated if the loss of peak efficiency hours would result in negative levels.

Advanced maximum effort allows you to activate haste even if burning 2 hours of peak efficiency would result in negative levels.
